Product Description

High Purity Palm Oil Essential OilSource: Palm oil is extracted from the fruit of the oil palm tree. Oil palm is a seasonal and perennial crop that can remain in commercial production for up to 25 years. Oil palm trees usually start to bear fruit in 2-3 years, enter the peak production period in 8-15 years, and begin to age and produce less in 18-20 years, when they usually need to be cut down and replanted.
Origin: Palm oil originates from West Africa, and was introduced to Malaysia at the end of the 18th century, and gradually planted widely in Southeast Asia. At present, palm trees are planted in many countries in Southeast Asia, South America and Africa, but palm oil production is highly concentrated in Malaysia and Indonesia, which together account for nearly 85% of global palm oil production.
Second, the production process
The production process of palm oil mainly includes the following steps:

Receiving fresh palm fruit bunches
Killing fermentation
fruit removal
Mashing
pressing
Oil clarification
Vacuum drying
After these steps of processing, palm oil can be obtained.

III. Characteristics and Classification
Characteristics: Palm oil is rich in nutrients and antioxidant, with good stability, not easy to oxidise and deteriorate. At the same time, it is slightly sweet and has a pleasant violet aroma. Palm oil is semi-solid at room temperature, and its consistency and melting point depend largely on the content of free fatty acids.
Classification:
Depending on the degree of refining, palm oil can be classified into gross palm oil and refined palm oil. Gross palm oil is raw, unrefined oil, whereas refined palm oil is obtained after removing free fatty acids, natural colours, odours and other steps.
Depending on the melting point, palm oil can be categorised into products with different melting points such as 24 degrees, 33 degrees and 44 degrees. These palm oils with different melting points have different applications in the food industry and chemical industry.
Uses
Palm oil has a wide range of uses, mainly including the following aspects:

Food industry: palm oil is an important raw material for food manufacturing industry, which is widely used in fried food, pastry processing, margarine, salad dressing and so on. Due to its good stability, the processed food is not easy to rot, so it is the preferred oil for frying instant noodles and other fast food.
Chemical Industry: Palm oil is also widely used in the chemical industry, such as in the manufacture of soap, lubricants, cosmetics, etc.
Biofuel: Wool palm oil can also be used as a biofuel for power generation and so on.
V. Nutritional value and controversy
Nutritional value: palm oil is rich in a variety of fatty acids, including palmitic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and so on. It is also rich in antioxidant substances such as vitamin E and carotene. These components are beneficial to human health.
Controversy: Despite the multiple uses and nutritional value of palm oil, its production has sparked some controversy. Deforestation is required to clear land for oil palm plantations, which affects some local communities and wildlife. However, agriculture can be sustainable if proper regulations and methods are followed to grow oil palm trees sustainably.
